I worked at KFC. The ONLY thing thats fresh is the chicken. Everything else comes from a bag, a can, or a bag in a box! 😂

I grew up with Pioneer Chicken. In LA back in the time KFC used to sell spicy chicken and it was good.

I worked for KFC for 3 years in the 90s. The potatoes were powdered and mixed with hot water and butter whirl and the gravy was also powdered (same with the BBQ sauce). We deboned any leftover chicken from the night before and it was saved for Chicken Pot Pies, BBQ Chicken Sandwiches, and the Twister Wrap. But I don't know if this is still in practice or not. The Chicken Pot Pies were made using a premade sauce base with peas and carrots and we added in the leftover chicken. It was portioned out into the pie tins, a dough disc was placed on top and it was baked.

2 thumbs up for Pioneer! Haven't been to KFC in years. Maybe since it was still Kentucky Fried. You've got me wanting to see what it's like these days. Always a good time with the mamahs!

Theres still 2 Pioneer Chicken places left for Lulu East L.A on Whittier n Soto and one in Bell Gardens by the DMV. That was my favorite chicken too but my parents thought it was too greasy….that may be but it was so nice and crunchy and good. Last time i had it tho it didnt hit the same.

The Nashville hot famous bowl was THE BEST thing on the menu…then the pot pie & the crispy colonel sandwich…those 3 will do you right!
