I sailed in the 1970 College National Championship (Douglas Cup) for the University of Hawai'i sailed in Long Beach, Ca in Columbia 26's. Eight teams with four team members each. We took 4th place and was won by John Dane of Tulane U. Gosh, don't remember all the teams...Hawai'i, Long Beach State, Washington, Merch Marine Academy, Tulane, Michigan (I think), USC? and one other I don't recall. Had a blast. I believe John Dane took it three years in a row and I think I remember hearing that he crewed for Ted Turner, Fun days back then.

Hope this isn’t a silly question, but what kind of boats are those? And that’s Carter Cameron! Haha that’s cool I emailed that guy about Snipe sails. It’s fun talking to famous people.
