President Joe Biden praises unions saying they build the middle class. During his recent visit to the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill, he shared a few reflections with the International Association of Fire Fighters while blasting the wealthy: "No billionaire should be paying a lower tax rate than a fire fighter." He adds, "God made man, then he made a few firefighters because you're all nuts. You're the only ones that run into flames; everybody runs away from them." He drew loud and sustained applause as he added, "That's why I fight so hard to protect your right to collective bargaining." And while according to an AP poll last month showing just 37% of Democrats nationwide want the President to seek a second term, just days earlier, former President Trump, who is officially in the race, blasted President Biden. He stated, "This is the most dangerous time in the history of our country and Joe Biden is leading us into oblivion." Taking his own swipe, Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, who has yet to announce he's running recently tweeted: "Florida broke our visitation record with more than 137.6 million visitors in 2022, and this was in spite of the Biden Administration's unscientific vax mandate for oversea travelers." Meanwhile, self-help author, Marianne Williamson is the first Democrat to formally challenge President Joe Biden in 2024. She adds, "I am so glad that President Trump did not win the last election. That means we didn't go over the cliff. But I'll tell you something; we're still six inches away from it." White House Correspondent Owen Jensen reports.
