11 years later, your videos are still helpful!!

I see what you mean, I did really mean to find he interquartile range. The probability however, for any distribution of being in the interquartile range must be 0.5 though.

This is helping me pass one of the most feared engineering foundation courses at my university!
You're great at explaining things simply and clearly. Thank you so much!

Good question and often asked. For a continuous random variable it will make no difference to the answer whether we use < or <=. We treat them the same.

Your videos are much more useful than my lectures. However, is it possible you can post videos of mathematics for economics? (such as supply and demand graphs etc.)

Great videos thank you, they've helped me a lot however i do have a question, for part iv you found the Interquartile range but surely you were looking for the probability that the machine dispenses the interquartile range meaning you were looking for P(182.5<X<187.5)?

Let Y be a continuous random variable and F its cumulative distribution function.
1. Determine the probability distribution function of Z = F􀀀1(U) where U follows the uniform distribution on [0, 1].
2. Deduce an algorithm for the simulation of a given random variable.

Weren't you looking for a probability for part iv? Not just the IQR?

How is it impossible to get EXACTLY 188 ml in a cup because it is continuous? Thanks for all your help. Great Video!!!
