ClimateWatch update for FEBRUARY & Autumn

La Nina is likely to finish this month but atmospheric conditions remain similar - meaning there will unlikely be any sudden change in the general weather pattern.

We track the highs and lows for the next few weeks ahead, expecting rainfall and temperatures compared to normal for this time of year and we also review the latest sea temperatures and soil moisture levels.

Autumn is my favourite season in Auckland - goldilocks weather.

We had a very dry summer at Kyneton area in Central Vic Australia. 22 mm in Dec and 11mm in Jan. lets hope we get some in Feb.

Hey Phillip love your work ! HEy so its looking likely for El Nino for ski season ? My understanding was that in 2022 in JUne and July weather went very neutral so Queenstown actually got a proper winter, first in years, is this correct ? and how do you think this will play out this year ?
