The Aurora Disaster - Subnautica (Animated)

Показать описание
This is a fan-made Subnautica animation on what it might have looked like to be a crewmember on the Aurora when it crashed. This is not official by any means and is not an accurate representation of the lore.

Sound effects were from either Pixabay or Zapsplat and then edited by me,
Made in blender

That quiet ghost leviathan sound at the end gave me some void PTSD flashbacks😂

Ive always thought this should of been the start of the game.

Somewhat like Fallout, start out, meet everyone in your block of the ship, get faces with the crewmen youll "find" later on where their pods are ripped apart, no bodies to be found, only their PDAs.

This would add a sense of attachment, familiarity to everyone, that your not alone on the ship, for it to be suddenly ripped apart, then being absolutely alone.

My heart sank when I heard, " floatation Devices failed " and I heard a ghost leviathan sound.

This is amazing, just should’ve made the aura more crowded and add screams

No words... none... A pure masterpiece!
Oof, that ending though, the thing a lot of people don't realise is with how the Aurora fell, most of the pods either ended up in the void, or UNDER the area where the Aurora landed, crushing them
Edit: Okay I really don't want to be THAT guy, but HOLY S**T Y'ALL DID NOT HAVE TO LIKE THIS RANDOM COMMENT SO FRICKING MUCH,

0:59 Lifepods 17-24. It’s quite possible that the man who was running just ahead of us was either Ozzy from the Cafeteria or Second Officer Keen. Since this is very soon after the explosion, I’m inclined to think it was Ozzy. Unless Keen was abandoning ship very early on Captain “Hot-Dog” Hollister’s orders, I doubt it’s him.

Future tech, and we still have low-quality cameras. Some things never change, huh? lol.

That was so good! I’ve been waiting to see something related to what happened on the Aurora. This is such an underrated channel honestly. Total w for the subnautica community.

its also very cool that the life pod used in the vid (lifepod 23) is one of the ones on the port side (1-24) which were still working after the aurora got hit on the starbord side

They should make a Subnautica movie at this point. It would be a cool sci-fi horror movie where we can see all the lifepods getting destroyed one by one. And maybe we could have a few segments in the tragical life of the Degasi survivors too.

The prawn bay shown can’t be the one seen in the game because the connected hallways, door the cameraman entered theough, and the elevator shaft needed for the elevator don’t exist in the game. However considering how big the Aurora was it all makes sense since there were probably multiple prawn bays onboard

That was so cool. Seeing this makes me think how lucky I was to crash in the shallows, so many others were met with a fate like this.
