If they paid users in blue stones to test and try features on the test server, given they make it more accessible, and they would have no problem at all acquiring feedback and bug reports

Can we get some polling or a full thought out game plan from SDF this random trigger pulling shit is unacceptable

Test Servers are shit because they NEVER listened.

Make characters INSTANT lvl 20.
Make gear to be able to be BOUGHT.
Make all traders MAX LEVEL!
Make gear obtained through shops so you can ACTUALLY go test and not waste hours to find gear to test.
With this you'll have TONS of people wanting to test for hours, get into fights.
ADD REWARDS TO TEST DURING NEW IDEA PATCHES.
Like example: Play 4 hours actively IN RAID and you get xx essence or a gift in your account like a bag or whatever.
Yes it could affect the general part of economy but this way you'll have shit tested.
Also make the servers optimized and add it to steam users as well.
THIS WAY YOU'LL HAVE A LOT OF THEM IN TEST SERVERS TO TEST.
It's SIMPLE af solution.

Also, the way SDF speaks, it may be a bad english thing, but makes it sound as if the changes are meant for him to enjoy the game

They should still update the test server. I bet if they update the test server frequently and release patch there before the main game, they will have hundreds of people playing the game. It will be way more efficient that way.

Good stuff guys, this is the community I absolutely love! I am a bit sad tho, at how MUCH hate SDF got. Did he do something stupid? Yeah, but we should still give this guy a break, there are SO MANY factors to what happened and I am sure he is under an insurmountable amount of stress. The legal battles, the language differences the team must experience, it being early access, so SO MANY things play a role here. I hope we can praise SDF for the fact that he realized his mistake, took some time to reflect, but not that long and realized he should fix his mistake all in the matter of a couple of days. The people threatening him, need to get a grip on reality it's a game... We should all go into the discord and pm him some sort of PRAISE to show him that we do care about this game and we should thank him for listening. If we blow him up with hate, and then just expect him to fix it all and not give him credit he's just going to end up hating his own community. Love you guys, remember to be nice to each other and happy holidays <3

They can flatten the loot difference by increasing combat deph, there only a certain way every character can be play maybe 2, even adding features like blocking to all weapons or parrying, or trowing properties, it would add to pvp and allow skilled player to compete with player with better loot. Or better match match making would allow newer player to get a grip before they are trown against advanced players.

It’s an early access game, the whole game is a test server if you ask me

Getting input/feedback from players with 1000+ hours on a class every once in a while would definitely be a huge step in the right direction

Make the test server free to play.
Make all characters level 20.
Give the player a full chest. (10k gold).
Allow the queuing for any map.
Add a bug bounty.
Implement an easily accessible and highly visible test-feedback system.
Add a reward system for providing feedback (e.g. Bug bounty = cool cosmetic [e.g. cape, or green player name], Test-Feedback = 1 blueshard).
Limit Test-Feedback to 1 per player per patch.

(Personally, I'd also like to see a new test-server only merchant that allows any gear at any rarity to be bought, allowing less visible gear to be tested.)

Start doing big content drops on the test server, make it available to everyone, and people will actually start using it. As an added bonus, sdf can slow roll out his vision, and no one has to get angry when their loot gets borked mid wipe.

When someone compiles Dark and Darker’s whole life cycle in a few years, it will go hard around this period

I appreciate that he's willing to try things out. He's clearly a talented guy, let's see what he comes up with.

The real issue for them is I use the test server to QA and then I keep all the tech to myself lmao

Hear me out, every bug report grants a bluestone shard (after being verified as a bug by a reviewer ofc)

i just wanna say this, to everyone saying “bring experienced players for recommending changes” or “test servers will be used if they just do it more often” no. “experienced” players have to want to invest their time doing this job, along with accurately representing the community with preferably little personal bias. and test servers will only be used if they are both fun and interesting to play on and not tedious, meaning if they brought intriguing changes people want to test and can test with ease, their will be plenty of testers.

I think doing something like this in the middle of a season is okay. If they did this at the very start of the season and gave us a clear road map of what he is going to be doing, then i think the player base would be more receptive. All my gear because pointless mid-season. I played dumb protectile reduction full plate longsword fighter, it wasnt good, but it wasn't terrible. Its completely pointless now. Plate just is not even worth equiping. You need to hit first and fast or die.

I just want to personally thank Ironmace for actually wanting to make a good game. I understand this last patch was horrendous, but I understand that Ironmace devs are humans who make mistakes. They are trying to fix it, and I appreciate this type of game dev.
