8th world title manipulated via a inept FIA race director. Max and Lewis gave us a great season in racing. Max did 0 wrong so all Lewis fans do congratulate rb and Max on his first world title. The issue is FIA handling of the rules throughout the season. This is why Lewis fans feel like they have been kicked in the nuts, not because of Max and redbull racing who did nothing wrong.

The outcome was not for the benefit of the sport it was for TV drama. The FIA should own up to there mistake and make the race result null and void. The 2 options available to Masi that would have been fair to all parties as LH had to pass those back markers on track MV could have done the same. The FIA can Make a sprint race at the season opener to decide the title and the starting grid would be the same as the final race of this season and leave the racers who retired/crashed out of the race. Mercedes should definitely do the appeal if it brings the sport into disrepute so be it as that finish was not fair to any neutral or new f1 fan. If nothing happens further many fans would stop following the sport as FIA made a wrong call all they should do is own up and say our mistake this is how we will rectify the mistake let them race again!!!
