This comment is a bit late (I thought that this being your most recent video you might see it), and is actually about your two BYOguitar build videos which I watched this week. I watch many of the guitar builders and luthier channels and I wanted you to know that you are the best dye/stain and finisher of the many home builders I have watched. The really good finish work I have seen on YouTube seems to be produced in a factory type setting. Chris at Crimson Guitars is a good example. Anyway, you are quite talented. Keep up the good work.

Ven it looks like you overcame the gfs issues. Nice job. I built 3 tele's with mostly gfs parts. Videos on my channel. All The gfs necks would not fit the bodies without sanding open the pocket.
Bridge/neck alignment was same issue as you. On tele #2 I bought a Kmise neck and it fit without pocket modification. The neovin pups are actually a humbucker design, and in 1961, the design these bodies were based on, The older single pups were not as deep. The pass thru hole for the pup wires into control cavity not wide enough. I also needed to do a lot of fret work and lately I changed the nuts to bone. My tele's are now my most used guitars. 3 different flavors to choose from.

I reported my issues to gfs but they didn't care.

Nice job. I’m looking at the new Lido bodies mostly because it’s lighter and thinner.

I’ve made my share of the GFS bodies, necks, slick guitars and components. Word of wisdom...sometimes there’s work needed, like neck pocket, pickguard and smell other stuff. I agree with your comment about the “small stuff”. Ya gotta know how to adjust the issues. But they are pretty good.
Amd the routine. Yes that too. They also have smaller HBucker sizing that’s off. But hey, I have the tools...

Looks great! I bought their cream color one, and put Alex Pribora cream color pickups in it.

Looks n sounds good. Definately a lot like what I ended up with last year except you went for the retro styling where I didn't.

I have a Frankenstein unfinished mahogany Telecaster body and white pearl neck coming from guitar fetish that I'm excited about but a little nervous about after listening to some of these reviews. I'm going to take my time and re measure before I assemble it hopefully to correct any inaccuracy issues before they become permanent issues

Thanks for the review. I'm thinking of buying one of their swamp ash hardtail Strat bodies in the future. Hope it's decent!

Just watching your video again, waiting for GFS bodies to come back in stock. A few of them are, and I noticed in their descriptions that they've made modifications to them. Maybe they've taken care of the shallow route. The unfinished poplar bodies are now back in stock. I wanted ash, which is still not in, so I may buy poplar...you seem pretty happy with it. I want to do my own lacquer finish. Hope it works!👍😎🎸🎶

Nice video
As far as the alignment of the neck, you can simply loosen the neck plate screws a little and move the neck into alignment, then tighten them back while you have the neck in the position that you need it to be. I've had to do that before myself. Hope this helps brother

My XGP Strat body has exactly the same neck alignment issue as you described. Just enough to bother you when you’re just done with the build but not enough for you to care
after that.

2 solutions to your bridge pick up rout, first get a router with a flush cut ball bearing above the router bit and rout it deeper or if you don’t have a router you can use a drill to deepen the slot and clean up the cavity with a small chisell

They should have made it deeper for that pickup. If you don't have a router or are afraid to mess up the finish, I've used a Dremel tool in similar situations. They're small and easy to control and you can get a wide variety of bits that will allow you to router that hole a little deeper. Good luck!👍😎🎸🎶

i hope this finish on mine is awesome too, just ordered
just so fkng cheap, the last warmoth body I ordered was like 470
but god damn my love for that guitar is borderline sexual lol

Silly GF pickup was too deep but the spec on the body is correct mid 60s for the route. Maybe GF has a less thick pickup. They should warn you though.

IF THIS BODY IS SUPPOSE TO BE MADE TO 60'S SPECS THEN THE BRIDGE PICKUP ROUTE IS CORRECT THEY WERE NOT DEEP ON VINTAGE TELECASTERS SO GUITAR FETISH GOT IT RIGHT THAT PICKUP YOU USED WOULD NOT FIT A REAL VINTAGE 60'S TELECASTER EITHER WITHOUT ROUTING THE PICKUP

The body is vintage spec. Modern pickups are thicker

I have had several XGP bodies. Their paint jobs are crap. Good luck on a Tele body even putting ferules in. If you look at the paint wrong it flakes off in quarter sized chunks. I have had 3 that did that. I finally gave up on those bodies..
