You've got an extremely smart and well-mannered kiddo. An absolute joy to watch you two work on this together. <3 :P

This vid, brought back so many memories of me and my dad, except I was teaching him with builds back in the early and mid 90s. I miss my dad now.

Wow, this was very sweet to watch. A really good kid you got there, and hope the older one gets home very soon.

So much fun. Just did this with my youngest son (6). He was spoiled a bit though with R5 5800x, rx6800xt, trident z neo 16gb, seasonic 850 platinum, same case though... It's an awesome case with great airflow. Seagate 500 gb ssd, and 4tb hdd. Took an entire year to get all the parts... But we had such a blast building it together. Something I will never forget. Now we have a blast playing together. Great video... So much fun to watch!

I recently built a new PC with my son, great experience, he had never built one before, he really enjoyed it, funny thing though he was 21 at the time, your son was amazing :) !

You are an amazing father.

When I was 8 years old, I was using a Macintosh 630 performa CD. It wasn't until I was 10 I built my first PC; a Pentium pro cpu with no gpu.

It could also be the custom cable but good to know you resolved the problem

I have many fond memories of my father swearing profusely when we were building my first desktop because it's 1995 and manufacturers give absolutely zero f***s if their drivers play nice with other manufacturer's parts. Oh the memories.

Seriously though, Brett is like a man from 3 generations ago. Has a huge family at a very young age, works like hell to provide for them all, shows up to work every day with a smile while going through tough times.
Dude, you're an absolute beast.
God bless you and your family.

Kinda funny how those are the same games I played when I was a kid. I still have my Roblox account from 2010 that I made when I was only 10 years old, but I haven't played it in years.
I also have my Minecraft account from 2010-2011 and I still play it sometimes.
Back then I used an Atom N270 netbook and old Pentium 4 and Athlon XP systems to play the games

Excellent video! It's a good thing you're an experienced PC builder because troubleshooting would've been even more of a hassle as a newbie.
