Welcome back to Show Splatter. For the channel today, we are going to figure out The REAL reason Good Girls was cancelled! Last May 2021,there were hopes that NBC might give the drama, comedy TV series Good Girls an extension.

Honestly if they make a spin off with just Rio, I'd watch that and be very much happy with it. I started the show because it seemed okay but I stayed for him.

Team Rio all the way! His character was EVERYTHING ! The absolute best part of the entire show was Manny Montana's acting & knowing how off their chemistry was off screen was is only more evidence this man brought it. Beth was just Beth there's many Beths only one Rio & only one person could ever bring the depth & intensity of this character the way he did. 💕Manny Montana 💕💕💕

Christina been known as a diva and using passive aggression on the upcoming stars. Manny wasn’t having non of it and stuck it on her. And she thought she could continue the series without him which the producers said saw hell naw

I think she really likes him and is conflicted with her inner feelings…. Imagine caring what nick name someone gives you. Being mad over a nick name a boy gives you sounds like 6th grade crush denial!!! Smh

She didn't like him because he was the fan favorite. Now she's trying to make him seem like a predator and trying to ruin his career. I see what she trying to do. Sad

No they didn't like each other but their on-screen chemistry was off the charts. Money was an issue as well. Manny Montana had an issue on another show he was on and felt back stabbed by those he thought he was friends with. He became very closed off on set and would come to work, do his job and then go home. If they do bring it back in order to tie up loose ends I hope they do not listen to some fans who say Hendricks should be replaced. I think both Hendricks & Montana are at fault for the cold atmosphere on set but they obviously are professional enough to get the job done. Rio & Beth scenes were pure gold. I'm sure if allowed they could continue not let their animosity towards each other affect what comes off on screen.

still disappointed to this day that they canceled s5. but then again its rumored they didnt pay manny montana his cut worth like christinas hendricks, and i dont care if anybody says “but shes the main character” manny montana is considered a main character for everyone who watches this show! this show would be nothing and soo boring without him, he makes it more entertaining. i still have hope for this show to come back even tho its very not likely, im so sad still that this show ended and i have to rewatch the seasons & episodes but its just not the same. i really really hope one day that the producers realized what a good show they lost and help revive good girls.

It's the perfect ending. The show was getting a bit repetitive and the characters were becoming unlikeable, and not in a good way. I love how Beth has the power she always wanted, Ruby can start anew with her family, and Annie is rotting in prison.

Any new season will just tirelessly stretch out the plot in which Annie somehow fucks up, Ruby upsets her husband, and Beth narrowly escapes trouble episode after episode.

Replacing Manny wouldn't cut it. No one would be able to play that role as well as he does.

I wanted to see what happened to Annie. How about a spin off with Rio? I hated how difficult he was, but DANG could he get it!
My question is did she tell him not to call her Chris? She could have in turn called him a nickname that he didn't like and he might have gotten the hint if she didn't have the backbone to outwardly say it.
