Hey boss I’ve been trying to keep Discus fish for a while now with no luck I keep the tank super clean & the water at about 84-86° and they last months but not years. I pay a lot of money for these fish😢 not to mention I never want to hurt or have a fish or anything die on my watch.
I need some help so this is what I’m thinking it is let me no your thoughts the tank has only two items in it as far as decoration but I have an all white bottom filled with about 3/4 inches on beautiful white sand ppl say it should be a bare bottom tank cause they love it & easy to clean & that the sand might cause pockets of bad bacteria witch could make them sick. What do you think???
I have two heaters in my tank the water is always at temperature & I have two water fans in the tank that circulate the water all day 24/7 I have one on each side not to mention I have a sponge filter that I believe is good for 50-60 gallon tank as extra filtration, but my main filtration is my Fluval (406) canister filter that pumps out I believe 150 gallons per hour and this is only a 60 gallon tank so I have more filtration than I need so I’m pretty sure that is not a problem if you got any words of wisdom, or any help you can give me please do so

Very nice ❤ I have discus do they lay eggs. Mine do and world war three breaks out when they do. I wish they didn't. They only eat em
