It simply is an old hat using words like Aggressive, Innovative, Volatile, and Reckless when describing Danny Elfman's work. Prolific artists at this level are fiercely creative and never possessed that box most artists desperately try to step out of. Elfman wouldn't even know where to begin a search for this mythical box that stifles so many. This is not an album, this is an amusement park full of rides so compelling and diverse you'll have to experience them over and over again to truly get the full picture.
