This actually looks like an interesting matchups. Two normal, nerdy dudes that tried to impress an important figure that became villainous heroes as a result of being rejected from them. I’d be interested in seeing this.

The connection between Syndrome and Tighten is they're both nerdy, embitter, envious, egocentric, ginger-haired, caped movie villains who started off as normal civilians of cities with the word 'Metro' in their names (Metroville and Metro City) and admired someone in some way (Buddy idolized Mr. Incredible and Hal had an obsessive crush on Roxanne Ritchi) which led to them trying to become heroes to impress them, but would turn to villainy and disown their previous identities after being rejected by them (Mr. Incredible not wanting Buddy to be his sidekick and Roxanne not wanting to date Hal) and now use their superhuman capabilities as well as laser-based weapons/powers for their own personal gain. Both also gained their abilities through artificial means (Syndrome invented his arsenal of weapons, whereas Hal was accidentally infused with a serum containing Metro Man's DNA) and are responsible for the cause of havoc that wreaked upon their cities (Syndrome developed the Omnidroid v.10 to attack Metroville, whereas Tighten terrorized Metro City as its new villain). Ironically, this can also be seen as a battle between opposites as Syndrome is an intelligent genius who uses highly advanced technology to kill superpowered heroes, whereas Tighten is a superpowered villain hell-bent on destroying Megamind, an intelligent genius who uses highly advanced technology.

I like the contrast in character, while hal was literally just given his powers by accident and trained only so he could impress a girl, syndrome spent basically the rest of his life after the flashback building his empire and power through his keen wit and intelligence alone (and also gadgets but he made them himself)

This might actually be in Syndrome's favor due to the fact that Tightan never used his powers to their full extent like Metroman has shown (i.e. the "self reflection" super speed feat) and that Syndrome's iconic force-field thing has never been shown to be countered.
At the same time though the Metroman abilities do make Tightan far stronger and faster then Mr. Incredible and Dash.

Now this is awesome. I love the matchup and the movies they come from and this trailer is GLORIOUS.

I actually talked to some friends and after discussing it, I came to the conclusion Syndrome wins

Sure Tighten has the stat advantages, but Syndrome has killed heroes with similar powers and is smarter than Tighten and thanks to all his gadgets and technology, Syndrome can overwhelm Tighten

Syndrome would win mid diff since Tighten would always give a speak before killing someone giving Syndrome plenty of time to zero point him and send one of his gadgets until tighten dies or his powers get taken away (it's either that or a stalemate until eventually tighten is just like fuck it and uses his laser eyes)
