What if Disney's 'Toy Story' [Sega Genesis/SNES] was on PlayStation 1?
Показать описание
I present a fan-made prototype/fake longplay of 1 of my all-time favorite video games, Disney & Pixar's "Toy Story" (1995), as if it were not only released on the Sega Genesis & Super NES, but also on the PlayStation 1! It's basically just the SNES version but with more edits involved in the mix such as color & texture adjustments, more sound effects & additional music tracks & my own liberties. And of course a movie-based PS1 game must have cutscenes like "A Bug's Life" & "Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear To The Rescue", so as I'm not sure if there's an approximate limit of cutscenes or how long they usually are supposed to be in games but here they give you the basic idea of the movie & what you're about to go through in the gameplay. That sounded more exciting to go along the story of the film instead of the original game(s) which shows text & photos of the movie, so now it's like you can watch the movie & play the game (the latter as mentioned in a poster for the original game). Speaking of gameplay, a few sets of levels, like "Revenge of the Toys" & "Run Rex Run" for example, I connected together without cutscenes in between them for they seemed more of a Part 1 & 2 type of transition. And I made the level "DAY-TOY-NA" a mini game as an intro to "Light My Fire" without having the score go up the further you get for I couldn't be able to get the accurate score for the game onwards. And I found the movie clips through various sources online so I'm sorry if some clips have lower quality or glitches, etc. But they were the best I could use.
There really isn't that much changes besides this prototype being a rip of the SNES version which I personally think is the better version by presentation & better controls that have a certain flow to it (yet both that & the Genesis version equally have critical comparisons), & for those who feel the SNES version seems unfinished compared to the Genesis version, I understand respectfully but I thought I'd redeem it here with similarities of the Sega Genesis version & plenty of sound effects from the 1996 PC Power Play version & few sounds from the Genesis version too, 2 unused music tracks meant for the SNES version, "You've Got A Friend In Me" & "DAY-TOY-NA", as well as a new credit screen at the end inspired by the end credits of Disney's "Pinocchio" on SNES & Sega Genesis. Yeah, we don't talk about the Nintendo Game Boy version (...) Ever! And even though I could've used the PC version's music throughout everything & I've really tried to remake it but it seems too difficult. Maybe I will in the future.... 🤔 But I can't keep promises, as it might cause such an upset. Nevertheless, this video was a pain to make - a flippin' doozy! It took at least a month or a couple of weeks to finish altogether. And yes, this video is kid-friendly too. So I hope you guys love the video & the concept behind it! Yee-HAW!
