I just finished my first year at American and everything you said is SO true. The social scene, food, and lack of access to the city are honestly a big part of why I'm transferring lol

Living in DC my entire life, attending the local high school (Jackson-Reed) and taking one class at American all of this is so true. Studying on AU campus has always been a headache because of how far it is from everything, and TDR is so small. The professor I had was good and they gave a ton of Academic support which I like, but other than that I would say apply to GW, Georgetown or Howard first and then go to American if all else falls through lol.

thank u for this video. I would be an exchange student at AU next fall semester, so this video is very useful for me to get a sense of what AU looks like.

2006 AU Grad. Definitely a case of some things change, some things stay the same. Thankfully we were in DC way before it got super expensive like it is today so it was easier to live over on Connecticut and have easy metro access for all things DC. I took advantage of studying abroad in France, enjoy your trip!! Biggest change... the on campus restaurants never used to run out of food lol 🤣

Thank you so much for your video! Especially for an international student, there really isn't that much detailed video like this one up there, thanks!
