I tried to follow your technique today however my knife was apparently not sharp enough to cut the tongue, so I made a slit in the rootstock, about 1/3 across the top.
Made a 'V' shape cutting both sides of the branches, though I could not get the V shape very sharp. Jammed both in the rootstock.
Rootstock was also wider than both branches so theres a gap in the middle in the slit. I did wrap everything up tightly with parafilm.
Will this work or should I re-do?
