Very excited to get my pair of era 300s next week. I’m probably going to love music on them so much that I’ll regret moving them to rear duty when I end up getting an Arc and sub. Hopefully sonos can improve the app to make it quick and painless to switch setups, so can toggle rears as front at the press of a button. Just have to swivel chair around to enjoy music ;)

What a perfect explanation of the differences between the Era 300 and the five “ the reading glasses example “ ..
I have them both as surrounds with my Arc but I used to just use one on it’s own and it sounds amazing.

I have an Arc and a Sub Gen3 at the moment and I am thinking of getting surrounds but wasn't sure if its worth getting Era300s or wait till Era500 comes out as mine is a large open plan living room( 28ft x 27ft). Is Era300 capable of delivering wider room filling sound stage in large rooms?

Just added a pair as surrounds. It almost changes how you think of “surround sound”. It actually seemed to raise the bass level in my “bubble”. I wonder if they allowed some bass to come through when in a surround setup. I will say I do think an Arc update (as crazy as that sounds) is almost imminent. Maybe it will be an “Arc Era” as a more “premium” bar if you want the top tier or something. It might be cool to see the current Arc paired with 100 as an “entry level” system and an “Era” Arc paired with Era 300 (or era 500) as a “premium” system. I’m probably wrong but I do see an updated Arc (even with a similar design aesthetic) that’s maybe a touch bigger coming soon. Anyway cheers 🎉.
