Sitting is one of the most stressful positions for our backs and necks and the more that you can do to avoid sitting the better. If you sit, your feet must be on the ground so that you can maintain a neutral spine. This video demonstrates proper sitting Posture and is to be used under the supervision of a physiotherapist and or licensed practitioner if you have neck or back pain. There are many back and neck problems that require total avoidance of sitting postures such as herniated discs and or severe nerve compressions and in these conditions sitting even for 10 minutes can make you much worse.
