For the newer version of this machine hold the two buttons either side of the spanner icon for three seconds. This takes you to a menu where you can change the volume of the annoying beep, or disable it completely

Edit : Series 8 cannot be turned off I was just informed by Bosch😢.
Other series it the temp button hold or reload button hold.

Unfortunately upon turning on (yes, cotton) it displays the 1 hour wash duration, looks different from your "9" display.
When holding temperature, it goes down to the frost star, but nothing zero happens if I turn the dial to prewash while holding temperature button.
The display stays the same.

Maybe it's another button in the Bosch series 8 washing machine I have to hold while turning to prewash?

This peeping at the end drives my husband insane.
