Bethany choir - Turn the world around - Harry Belafonte -

‘Turn the world around’ is a folk song by Harry Belafonte popularized in the 70’s. This song uses the African tribal ideology asking us to go back to natural elements like fire, water or the mountain. It raises the question of ‘Do you know who I am, do I know who you are? And if we do, then we can overcome differences, know that we are all the same under God's eyes, and turn the world around. The choir uses hand claps to bring out the complex rhythms and some infectious tribal chants too.
