Feedstocks to Fuels

The Center for Advanced Bioenergy and Bioproducts Innovation (CABBI) has successfully demonstrated how to take feedstocks from the field and process them into useful chemicals — specifically converting "oilcane" into fuels.

This "CABBI pipeline" was a partnership between the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory at the University of Illinois, the Illinois Energy Farm, the University of Florida, the University of Nebraska, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Mississippi State University, and the USDA Agricultural Research Services.
