You can actually change the colour shade in SAP, from green to pink, peach and different tones of blue! Makes it nicer to work in an accounting environment, especially if you are not that keen in accounting!

It's an implementation decision - drop-downs, pop-ups, searches can easily be put in place if desired. Many companies have charts of accounts containing hundreds or even thousands of account codes. It would take quite a while to scroll through that drop-down list!

Yes, you can bring up a search menu for just about any field that uses a code. Not exactly a drop-down, but a pop-up window that lets you select the account.

Yes, this is the plain vanilla client-server interface. Not much to look at, plus it includes all the fields that many companies won't even use. You'll find that just about every SAP implementation includes customization of these screens to improve the way they look, eliminate unused fields, provide web-based entry, etc.

Is there a feature in SAP that allows users to import large journal entries from Excel files? I recently started a new job and they use SAP, and they manually enter JE's with multiple lines. I think that in Year 2021, there must be a feature to upload from Excel instead. Please advise. Thank you!

How does SAP know which entity code that journal is allocated to? I don't see any option for entity code there?

Sir, I observed you used account number first in encoding the transactions.  Is it possible also to encode account name first then followed by account number?
