Philippine Eagle can live to 60 years in captivity, about 20 years more than if they live in the wild on their own. 20 years divided by one egg every 2 years=10 more chicks. In a zoo or a wildlife preserve or some large contained area they can be brought food, temperature can be controlled. To be honest with you I don't know that they like temperatures above 70 degrees F. Keep in mind they have feathers (down). It gets hot at about 60 degrees F. That is one reason they like to fly high is that at higher altitudes it is cooler. They also like to fly high to avoid people and other predators. They also like to stay high up to see if there is a meal nearby.

That BEAUTIFUL crown, the power of the bird, the intellect. The family loyalty. The poor bird lost its habitat. There are other rainforests in the world. I don't know about Africa because it would hunt the poor bird and the same goes for Europe. Ireland has a history of exterminating snakes and birds then later regretting it. I love birds period.
