I'm 51 and 7 weeks into BJJ and love it, this gives me hope. Didn't even know there was a AARP division. Lol.

I'm a 62 yo white belt and I found your match with your competitor a true inspiration. I look forward to competing in a year or so. Keep up the good work and have fun.

Great job! I'm a 53 year old white belt too, I recently had my first tournament and it was really fun. I just wish they had master classes for females, us old ladies ended up going against women half our age.

Ross and Rodney. That was phenomenal. Keep it up. Im a 46 years old white belt with a decade of love for the sport who just decided to start. While I thought I would be able to get some of the first moves, I was stunned of the sheer tendon force that bjj creates. I am 1 month in and STILL did not get over it. But its the best sport in the world. It truly is the human chess game. Hope I never stop.

Great job, guys. Congratulations for getting in there. I joined a bjj gym and have gone to my first two classes. I turn 57 this week.

Fifty three? YOU'RE a child. I am 73, just started and have been going to class for just short of 5 weeks, attended 29 classes. I need to drop 15 more lbs and gain some stamina. Back injury a couple of years ago has slowed me up but I'm working on it. BJJ is great. I have a boxing, wrestling, TKD, JUDO and Krav Maga background.

Awesome going! Started when I was 52 as a White Belt, and still at it ... just pace yourself and STAY CONSISTENT

This is inspiring for me because I am 57 years old and have been doing BJJ for two months.

I'm almost 60. I should only watch old guys fight. Young guys are so flexible.

How many times a week do you train with hard sparring and how many days after does it take you to recover fully? I'm 48 and after a day of hard sparring it takes me about 5 to 7 days to fully recover, if I force it and try to train hard earlier then my performance suffers because of my injuries that I'm very wreak and feel over trained

got a free half guard on the reset. That always happens in tournaments.
