Individual core performance is also better for most modern games as of the moment. Most are released unoptimized. Same with early access ones.

Here are a few corrections to your statements:

Applications are categorized in single threaded (performance per core) and multi threaded (number of cores).

• Some of single threaded application examples could be games and web browsing.
• Some examples of multi threaded application examples could be productivity tasks (AI, rendering, video encoding and editing) and extremely optimized games.

• Having more cores inherently increases the multi threaded task performance, but could reduce the single threaded task's.

If you like multi tasking (i.e. playing games while having discord, spotify and google open) will reduce stress per core. If you have a four or six core processor, performance of the main task will stutter to sustain the rest as there aren't enough resources. Getting an 8, 12 or 16 core computer allows for a lot more headroom (main reason Intel included E cores).

Virtual machines are a vey specific topic that, while correct, is not very commonly found by people outside the IT or tech industry, so this video can cause a lot of misconceptions.

Would love if you did some videos about other parts of pc building too because you give some great advise

For modern games you should at least have 6 cores

Great video! But always keep the RA tech fx series in mind, there’s a limit on the usefulness of fast cores vs more cores

5k subs ONLY, BRO I Thought you had like 1m subs dude, GET THIS man subs!!

Works only for games that use 1-6 cores, any above will get a performance boost from higher core cpus

Number of cores does matter, as titles are starting to make use of more cores. Even somewhat older games, like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, can use 75%ish of a 6c/12th chip. If someone is recording, streaming, or editing video, you want more cores.

That's not entirely correct, but not entirely incorrect either.

I feel like this is not true across the board. For example, I play an mmo with multi accounts and have 8 game clients running at the same time. Wouldn't more cores be helpful in that use case?

I think when specifying "multiple cores don't necessarily matter", you should specify for single process workloads like playing a single game.

That's why quad cores i3 are great for gaming

core count is important for a number of applications, not just virtual machines.
Gaming is more focused on performance-per-core but if you are a business user then more cores may be more important to your workflow.

It’s like comparing AMD FX 9590 vs AMD R5 5600X.

Just look at 24 core xeons from years ago compared to i5 13th gen nowadays
