Gostei da dica, mas prefiro do testador de led e diodos retificadores diodos zener feito com um multímetro digital, pois além de estar o componente, ainda mostra a queda de tensão sobre o componente.

Don't be scared to try 5 volt diodes so the probes don't hold that much of a shock.

Check the spec's if you know anything about electronics the probes are obviously live but not with enough voltage to harm you those are 5 volt diodes. So I'll give it a try.

You are showing in the video that you are wearing gloves in your hands which means that if you touch the probes with bare hands shock is imminent? Is it so.

Both potentially dangerous and damaging to hardware.

If you accidentally reverse bias a part, the 350 or so Volts will likely damage it.

And, getting shocked by that Voltage will be an unpleasant surprise.

If a varistor will add to the 220 volt AC and used fuse though that it can be more safe.
Althogh the amp of inside of hosing fuse is not said by the dear maker for us!!!
