Hey guy in this video we have covered Chapter 4 of Indian Penal Code, 1860
Which talks about General Exceptions..
In chapter 4 there are 31 Sections ( 76 to 106)
The Defences are basically Two types ----
1---- General Defences
2--- Specific Defences
The gersl Defences are further divided in to two categories -------
A------ Excusable Defences
B------ Justifiable Defences
In this video we have covered the general Defences related to children of a perticular age group..
Section 82 of IPC gives immunity to those childrens who are under the age of 7 years , whereas section 83 grants immunity to those childrens who comes within the age group oo 7 to 12 years.
Sec. 82 Of Indian Penal Code -----
Act of a child under seven years of age. —Nothing is an offence which is done by a child under seven years of age.
Sec. 83 Of Indian Penal Code----
Act of a child above seven and under twelve of immature understanding. —Nothing is an offence which is done by a child above seven years of age and under twelve, who has not attained sufficient maturity of understanding to judge of the nature and consequences of his conduct on that occasion.
