'Santa Claws' has always been one of my favorite Simon's Cat episodes. It makes me laugh remembering how my own cats, when younger, couldn't resist the Christmas ornaments each December. I'd come home to find balls and stars scattered at the base of the tree. And in the middle of the night I'd wake up to more rustling and clinking. The cats pretty much leave our tree alone these days, but they're never too old for catnip 'trips'!

Long ago we had to secure our tree with wires connected to the nearest immovable object because our young indoor cat found her inner tree-climber. Luckily we were young and had very few actual ornaments for our first tree. We weren't so complacent with a tree loaded with collected ornaments some 45 yrs later. That older cat just wanted to see if she could luckily was satisfied with the one-time result. Cats! Love 'em!
