"subscription model" and "best choice" shouldn't really be used in the same sentence

Subscriptions are a terrible idea. Some companies for example HP if you stop paying the subscription will no longer let you use the product that I think it’s called infinite ink. BMW if you stop paying the subscription will not let you use the car seat heating but you already own because you bought the car. People are getting fed up with subscriptions.

If I was Ikea, I would design a cabinet that fits in the metod system that fits a vacuum under the sink.

I think the biggest thing that needs to happen is a standard size for the plumbed in docking stations, so homes could build space for them and consumers could have the peace-of-mind that they'll always be able to replace their robot and its base.

Bagless! No to having to buy and replace bags!

I hope to see more foam rollers on robots for hardwood floors. I also think we will see partnerships with other cleaning products like Glade, Tide, Airwick etc.

Really hope they partner with major washer/dryer manufacturers to offer pedestals with built in docking stations. I know if Roborock or Eufy offered a docking station that I could slip under my LG washer and it was color/style coordinated, I would upgrade tomorrow.

I love my robot, but it's not kicking the "real vacuum" out of the house anytime soon. Subscriptions? No thanks.

A slot under a dishwasher is the best place. Washers and dryers are often closed off behind a door or curtain. A dishwasher is always in the kitchen, which is almost always connected to the rest of the common areas of the house.

These companies will *need* to bring the prices down if they want larger adoption.

I tend to think vacuums will come built into washing machines - but with a modular slide-out vacuum module that can be replaced when new models come out.... I would absolutely love to buy that!

2:25 This is the one big silver lining to the 'You'll own nothing and be happy." dystopia mega corps have out for us. At least if it's subscription where they're they are the ones stuck with major sudden failures, they will be incentivized to make things better quality. However having owned both Roombas and Roborocks each working for over 7 years before retirement, they are very solidly built already, and going by aliexpress; it's clear that even the chinese budget brands do want wide parts ability for stuff like wheel motor assemblies, batteries and the like.

My new Roborock S8MaxV Ultra Automatic fill & drain is amazing. Mind blowing how far these companies have left Roomba in the dust. They had a huge advantage and pulled an Intel.

Nearly 100% of our decision to purchase it was based on your videos. Thank you man. You do a fantastic job.

A crevice mop test would be interesting to see how the robot mops perform on something like tiled floors to clean in the grout lines or how well they do on a floor that has some texture.

The year is 2032, a married couple is arguing loudly in their apartment. The robot quietly undocks from it's unit and heads towards them- "Remember. How. You. Both. Met. Remember. Your. Love..." - the robot expresses. The couple remembers. They stop fighting. The robot returns to it's dock, but not before vacuum and mopping on its way back.

You know what feature i can't believe i haven't seen yet from a robot vacuum??? A sensor i can put near my cats litter box (or anywhere you want) that went triggered after maybe 5 minutes the vacuum will go clean that designated area! Everytime cats use the litter box they leave a little trail it would be nice for a robot vacuum to go clean that area after cats use the box.

Picking up small objects and placing them in a predefined area before cleaning would be a great enhancement.

These are my other predictions (not mentioned in the video):

-Roller style mops like the Eufy S1 Pro and Switchbot S10 will likely see popularity. These mops are much better than a pad which it accumulates the mop mess rather than picking up the mop mess.

-Hot water mopping (not just mop washing) will also surge in popularity. This is something Roborock is going to do for their upcoming new robot vacuum, the Saros 10R.

-Integrated Mechanical Arms might also become more popular towards late 2025. Why? Because Roborock is also going to release a robot with a mechanical arm attached (Saros Z70).

-Water filtering might be the better method versus plumbing systems (but will probably not be as insane as 3i's robot). The dirty water would go through a well-dsigned filter, so well-designed that it makes the resulting clean water drinkable, and that filtered water will be used again. No need for a plumbing system, just fill the water rank up once and you're done. This can also enable a much bigger water tank, and is more eco-friendly as it saves water in the long run!

What I really need is a robot that clean deep carpet (min 20000Pa), luxury thick rugs (min 2cm thick), deploy an insecticide nozzle that can spray between the edge of carpet and the wall (especially if you have pets or moth issue), capable of dealing with carpeted stairs, bagless, capable of auto recycling its own water for mopping, self cleaning, no maintenance except for emptying the bagless dust bin, an intelligent mapping system and app. NO subscriptions. The smaller the base's footprint the better, don't mind if it's tall at least i don't have to be on my knees. That's all! Give me that and I'll buy it.

Question for your mop testing are you able to do a how clean is the floor really test by wiping it with a paper towel or seeing if it's still sticky because it could be visibly clean but still sticky.
