Deepfake Analysis - Calculation Time: 1 hour [default]

INTRODUCTION

We are going to determine the requirements of image material to create a successful deepfake. Two videos will be shown for each of these test cases. The first case shows the results of merging the faces using the standard parameters (default). In the second case, each of the parameters for merging the faces is manually tweaked until they produce the best possible results. The YouTube video Bush's Best Speech was used as the output video for all tests.

TEST CASE

One of the aspects not discussed yet in our analysis is the impact of calculation time to the quality of a Deepfake. All examples discussed so far took 24 hours to generate. All discussions in this article are based on the material used in the case of Source 5.000 images ? Destination 5.000 images. It must be noted that the pre-trained model is based on Donald Trump and Nicolas Cage.

OBSERVATION

There are more improvements, the original face of Nicolas Cage is not that obvious anymore. But there is still no George Clooney visible yet.
