The saxes do most of the heavy lifting on this easy version of the Miles Davis standard. In addition, there is a short sax soli and a written or ad lib solo for trumpet. This is a wonderful introduction for young players to one of the most important jazz figures of the 20th century.

we played this in our jazz band last year and it was so fun. we got the sax soli incredibly tight. second alto was fun but wish i had had first.

I used to be in a swing orchestra about 5 years ago and we played this. I Ieft for HS that same year and now I will most likely be playing a gig with them as their bass player won't be there and second bass player who plays guitar will be on the guitar
