I ran into this flash fill thing by accident. Had to hard-key account numbers from a long string of data that had no pattern and changed often - because our client didn’t care to make things easy enough to extract them with a formula into a new column, and excel recognized what I was doing and filled the remaining 500 lines in. Saved me 20-30 minutes
