Daniel Champagne - Shot In The Dark (Live In Studio)

I had these words lying around for most of 2018. That was my busiest year for touring (297 shows all up) and there just wasn't that much time to sit down with a guitar and really dig into songwriting but there were a lot of short ideas recorded in hotels, airports and band rooms along the way, mostly inspired by the places I was traveling to and the people I met there. It all ended with lots of European dates going into the winter, my last show was in Poland and I caught a bus the next day down to Budapest where I had a really funky apartment in the old town to write songs for about a week. It's funny, some songs you forget where they were born but with this one as soon as I start the first verse I see that apartment and hopefully one day I'll go back and play a concert there.
