This is the clearest saree tutorial I've seen in my few days of searching, and I greatly appreciate the amount of detail you went into. I'm using it to dress a handmade doll to be gifted to a young Indian girl I'm friends with. She was adopted when she was 5, and she's always felt a little disconnected, so I'm trying to make it as authentic and meaningful as possible. Thanks to this tutorial, I'm confident that it will at least be dressed properly!

Quick tip: Wear your dress shoes before draping the saree to get the right level above the ground, otherwise the saree might hover too high or low from the ground and you might need to drape again

Thank you for this video. I recently attended a friend's wedding at a Gurdwara and I wanted to make sure I wore the saree correctly. I managed to drape the saree by myself and my friend's family commented that I had draped it well. Excellent tutorial!

Thank you for this video! My uncle (non blood related but found family) whos Indian is getting married soon and i just got my saree in! This tutorial made it a breeze to learn! I wear saree almost every day and was taught by my late mom in law. I have a saree from almost every region of India (Courtesy my friends) and I enjoy nothing more than donning a new saree. I could never teach my daughters as well as your video. Gonna forward it to my girls now. And I am a Pakistani and am proud earliest saree clad ancestor was from Mohenjodaro. Wish this region wasn't so divided.
