I still feel like mixers are tough to talk about on their own, but I'm happy with how this turned out. I think it'll make it click for a lot of people.

Very stoked for this thing. I feel like we’re about to see some really well mixed modular jams on the tops of mountains and in the middle of the ocean and stuff.

Apparently it's also a 12-in 4-out audio interface, which is pretty cool. That's a pretty good deal for 10 (plus 2 master) inputs, as well as being a recorder (and compact enough to fit on my desk with my synths!)

My first exposure to Zoom gear was their 9002 guitar effects processor at the beginning of the nineties. It was a compact, idiosyncratic device that slotted onto your guitar strap, was surprisingly affordable and sounded amazing.

Even though I haven't been a regular Zoom customer over the years, I'm glad they're still going and producing quality products well over three decades later.

I was sold almost the moment I saw it. I’m tapped out on inputs into my 16 in audio interface, so this as a sub mixer that can still independently record all its inputs if needed is GREAT. And being able to yank it out of my home setup for gigs is also high utility. WOOT!

Smart thinking: the two Aux sends can be returned to the last two stereo channels, and that leaves, with the dual mono button option, six mono tracks that can benefit from external rack gear!

Seems like a really slick little tour mixer and interface! Big board features, baby board footprint for customs, and easy to whip out and work with in a pinch. The transparency of the mix and low noise floor sold me.

as soon as I saw this zoom L6, I thought it would work great with my Roland Airas and then you did just that. Nice!

That’s nice! As a keyboardist playing gigs in various stages it’s a nice little mixer to have on the road so I can plug all my keys and synths throught it and send the master to the FOH guys

This is life-changing information. I just tried out my portable setup on a trip and figured i just wanted a small mixer with 2 sends for external FX. This has it and then some!

Immediately pre-ordered here in Germany. Can‘t wait for this problem-solver for me as a solo acoustic/electric performer who also sings and uses a few extras (like a Boss DR01-S rhythm maker and a Meinl Kick (stomp) pedal, plus a Dig Deep octaver for a pseudo-bass) and only has 3 inputs on the EV Everse 8 speaker. This will let me easily get everything pre-mixed that needs to go to Channel 3 (Aux) of the Everse 8. Great form factor and options! Thanks for detailing the features for us.

Minor point that I've seen missed in a few videos is that you can record to the sound pad.

Wow! This is exactly what I was looking for. I want a dawless setup in a rather limited space. Already got my eyes on Zoom L bigger brothers because of recording feature but they're just too big for my setup. This is perfect. The 2 x Aux sends on top is orgasm.
The Roland P-6 Sampler and Zoom L6 are the winners of portable devices of 2024 in my book.

Thanks for the informative and as always relaxing review Jorb! I was so frustrated when I lost the opportunity to purchase the zoom h6 (can't find it anywhere) months ago. I quit trying to find the Swiss Army Knife portable mixer for my recordings and mobile routings for good... and then you show up with your review! Hallelujah brother!!!! That mixer is genius.All the applyings to the channels affect only the Master, you still will have a recorded track even if you mute it.All of the tracks have their own level that you cannot change, it’s kinda backup.For example if you connect a device like IPad to the stereo channel and record music from it you will have two tracks recorded.One with fixed volume from the channel and another from the Master witch you can make lowder, if you screw up the Master volume you may always use the channel audio.Same with multiple instruments, if you are not happy with the balance after the recording you may always fix it in post because you will have all the channels recorded without any effects or changes you’ve made during the recording.
