# 244 Vacuum Modulator Valve

Well, I got the Fargo back on the road. It turnred out that a bad vacuum modulator valve gives the same systems as a blown head gasket.

Nothing like red rain…the worst thing to clean up is fresh motor oil or gear oil. Sticky. I thought you changed the valve, but it was the govenor last time.
Those modulator valves rupturing were common. The smell of the exhaust is what gives it away. Top end got a good cleaning/lubricating!

We sure are missing El Niño... La Niña is a chilly girl for sure ! There is adjustment in most modulators as well Andy, a small allen head bolt lives inside the vacuum plug in the dashpot. Best days to you and crew 👍
