My house is gone. But at least I'm safe. Its depressing it could go that fast. What's horrible is there is no website with available up to date info of where the fires are and direction it is heading. NASA firms website was shut down because of high traffic, probably because of a bunch of nosey people that these fires didn't affect. I left early because of the total lack of info.

In this "information age" getting meaningful local information in times of crisis is impossible. When our area was threatened by fire a few years ago I had to rely on people outside the area and even from other states! All we got locally was some cute talking head getting photo ops of smoke in the background asking people how they feel about losing everything they owned. Totally useless! That woman was very lucky! The truth is our government fails us & it's up to we the people to look out for each other!

Prayers for California and its people. California has had so many catastrophic and devastating wildfires the last few years, can't possibly imagine how people are able to still thrive and live there. God Bless the firefighters risking their lives out there to save lives.

I live here and the lightning storms were unlike anything I’ve seen and I lived in Arizona (Apache Junction) for 6 years and monsoon seasons electrical storms were amazing. What we just had out here however was something way different. Looked like the gods were pissed! YouTube the footage it’s insane. Also yes the drout has been steady worsening. Also we’ve had a week of triple digit heat waves of 107. The conditions were a disaster waiting to happen. The fires here start very easily and then wind speeds cause rapid coverage quickly. Woke up this morning with the sky orange, sun red and streets and cars covered in ash. These times are def biblical.
