As a straight cis man who loves watching RPDR, I have to say I'm so proud to have Maddy representing straight drag; such a down to earth queen who understands that gender is fluid and it's okay to be straight and still be comfortable with gender non-conformity.

Maddy's story is such a good example of the fact that it's good for everyone to go on a gender journey. Maybe you realize you're trans, maybe you realize you're cis, whatever, but everybody can benefit from a genuine contemplation of their relationship with their sex, their gender, their identity, etc. and what is authentic and what is the result of societal pressures.

something that i feel gets lost in drag nowadays (thanks to fast fashion, etc) is the making amazing garments out of absolutely nothing and i feel like it gives you such a deep foundation and i feel like maddy is so down to earth and i kinda love she worked her way up in the broke old school drag way :')

theres nothing wrong with the newer and more accessible ways people do drag now but i have a preference and deep respect for literally making EVERYTHING yourself, whether you buy clothes and tear it up and upcycle or you make it completely from scratch. theres an incredible amount of dedication, patience, and ingenuity that comes with that that i just love
