I also had "expectations".
I chased them for years. To no avail. Had many relationships. Some ok, some bad, but most of them for about a year or so.
Then in 2010 I met woman at a party who did not meet my expectations in the least.
Rather than "focusing on my expectations, and writing cheklists whether she meets them or not", we just hung out.
And just fell in love.
We have been happy for fourteen years now!
