Listening to her talk for 60 seconds was insanely brutal

I’m a Black woman who used to watch her program with my son back in the day. That particular episode was an indictment on stereotypes and I thought it was hilarious. But you can’t deny that the woman is a hypocrite. “One rule for me another for you”. But she was still funny…!

I remember when she was all about canceling people until they turned on her

It's a shame she regrets doing that. I love that episode.

Why would she regret that episode? The plot is that she takes a bet to see what it’s like being black and goes around town in black face. Everyone in town is telling her she’s disgusting and what a terrible person she is (BECAUSE she’s in black face) but the character thinks that’s how black people just get treated. It’s actually pretty funny

"If there's no redemption then they're going to go to the dark side where the love is" is actually surprisingly powerful to me.

The whole point of her on stage character WAS the ignorance. THAT was the joke! People are so one dimensional

If you can remember a time when Sarah Silverman was once smart, funny and attractive, you’re old.

Used to love Sarah. Her show was hilarious. Times were different back in 2007

It sucks that she of all people decided to apologize for something that she did within the context of comedy. Free speech means free speech. She knows her intent wasn't to personally be racist but allows society to impose upon her an assumption that what she did was racist. Satire is important for a free society to discuss controversial ideas in a safe and humorous environment. Protecting the fragile sensibilities of one segment of society because they don't like an ugly word or an ugly portrayal while simultaneously allowing other segments of society to be freely criticized and denigrated is neither fair nor constructive.

Crazy she can talk like that and then turn around and say the same shit about other people

The funniest part about it is the character thought she was being persecuted for the color of her skin but really people were like you can’t walk around in blackface and act like that. She also did an episode where she told everyone she had aids to get attention. The character in general was horrible and oblivious. The funniest one was where she gave birth to a kid and left it at the hospital thinking she just had an abortion. The show was funny and comedy was a lot darker back then.

I think her blackface bit is legit funny. It's a shame that the contextual layers are missed by those who wish to cancel everything that won't fit neatly into a box labeled PC.

That blackface episode was actually hilarious and was making a great point about race. I used to think she was funny till she gave in and became “woke” or PC.

Her mistake was going Full Al Jolson and not Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder.

I wish she would apologize to Britney Spears

Why isn’t it okay? Sarah Silverman acting like she was completely wrong for her comedy is what’s wrong with comedy. Also why she’s no longer funny

Sarah's "performance" in the movie Way Of The Gun says it all, enjoy😎
