E36 BMW M3: 1995 1999 - Is it the best 3 series ever?

The 1995-1999 BMW M3 is known as the E36 M3. It is the 2nd generation of the M3 and although not as collectible as the 1st generation, it's possibly a better and more important car.

Although there are 2 available engines in US-Spec E36 M3's, a 3.0 liter inline six known as the S50 and a 3.2 liter inline 6 known as the S52, both put out 240 horsepower and hit 0-60 in 5.6 seconds.

The E36 M3 is my favorite car.

E36 M3 for the North American market was neutered so bad compared to the European version. I drove one when I was stationed in Germany

I prefer the E46 M3

The reason that it stops nearly as well as modern cars is because it’s lighter.

There are a few facts that are wrong here. I am happy to correct them if you want. I have a euro version of the 3.2 m3 and that was the one to get, not the s52 m3.
