Thanks Anthony, I love these two Bill Evan’s lps, and are my favourite jazz albums, the tragedy of Scott’s death is such a shock, of a towering talent . Also the piano tone is “oh wow”

Nice review Anthony! A few weeks ago I received the Craft Recording- Sunday at the Village Vanguard via Acoustic Sounds. Great sounding LP. I also have it on CD/20-bit from Fantasy-jazz and ripped to FLAC. I only have the CD version of Waltz for Debbie but now after listening to you this morning I’ll have to shell out more money for the LP version. I’ll do a coin flip on Craft vs UHQR. Thanks again for your review 👍👍

A good video, Anthony. Many thanks. Since I have the OJC and I am so pleased with it, and, oh yes, the brushwork sounds so good, I will not look further. I am hearing more and more that the UHQR is only better by a margin, so why the quest to get another remaster/reissue… and I am not collecting those space eating library type boxes either

I am also noodling on the UHQR but having just purchased the OJC recently, and my wish list pages long, will probably have to pass. Bill Evans is my favorite jazz pianist (oddly enough, Rubinstein IS my favorite pianist) and whole heartedly agree this is a must have album.

I have the AP33, the Riverside box and the new OJC for this title. The UHQR beats them all. Rest assured.

One of my favorites! The Doug Sax is my fave. I also have the OJC which is impressive as well. But I did feel the Sax cut more natural.
Haven't bit on the UHQR, but I will have a copy available to shoot out when I get home.
