Would you say it’s worth getting one if you already owned an Air 2? Not Air 2S, but Air 2.
I still love my bird, but this is really tempting, mainly for the controller, but dunno if it’s a silly spend. Xx

Mini 2 to me for the price and what you get seems to be what I’d recommend a beginner…. Or a recon original mini. Better to find out you don’t have time or hate it or crash it for $300 verses $1000 or more. Buy a recon at drone nerds and they will give you credit later when you upgrade ( they used to anyway). Most newbs will never get real complex. All those advanced features just won’t be used when starting out for most. 4K, 1080p… for basic social media 1080 is just fine

I would say just get the mini 2 once the price drops since the only real spec improvement is the photo quality, obstacle avoidance doesn’t really matter since if you are a good enough pilot and are aware of your surroundings it’s is easy to avoid obstacles, and branches and stuff can barely be detected by obstacle avoidance. If you want a good cheap beginner drone just get the mini 2 as the mini 3 is super over priced for its specs.
