As someone who’s played Nikki before, I can say that they put a lot of effort into their game’s quality, especially how the outfits look. And while I don’t think this will be a Genshin killer, I think it will be a good game in itself. Plus Nikki isn’t known for being an action game, but rather dress-up story game.

Having played Nikki for years and never touched Genshin, i can say that these two are vastly different games. The only commonality will probably be that they are both open world.

But yeah Paper never disappoints with the efforts they put into their games so i can't wait to see how the new game will turn out!!

Infinity Nikki is NOT meant to be a Genshin killer. The Nikki franchise has been around for a decade as a fashion game series and this new game will certainly be based around that core concept too.

Infinity Nikki to us is your Genshin anime, it was announced as a 10th anniversary present along with a concert and upcoming movie trailer. Something celebratory for long time fans that will hopefully draw attention and increase the fan-base.

To compare it to Genshin, which yes, may give it some boosted attention since it’s so trendy to make these types of videos, is quite misleading and sets unrealistic expectations.

It's not exactly the same sort of game, sure they both contain open world exploration but Genshin has a much heavier focus on combat compared to Nikki.

I think they have their own spaces one for a cutest open world with adventure and exploration and another for an action oriented open world adventure with story and lore.

I like Genshin alot but I'm also looking forward to Nikki too

Most gamers are into action packed games like genshin, they do have the one up that you can change your character appearance and the characters looking like the playable characters.

Other than that, genshin has it beat in every way. If anything, it might give ToF a fight.
