Based on the Compass but with ample differentiating elements, the Meridian will soon be launched in India. We drove the diesel automatic 4WD top model and this is our verdict in video form. As a monocoque ideally it should be compared with safari and xuv700....Albeit priced higher ( assuming so looking at the price of compass Variant S and traillhawk ) Clearly Safari misses out only on 360 camera and 4X4 only. Otherwise safari packs the punch at 10-15 lakh lower price than meridian. No media will tell you the same 🙏. In fact safari has more third row space than Meridian from all the reviews. I think if you are going for 4X2, justifying meridian purchase would be difficult as the engine is also same as that comes in safari and compass.Meridian also misses out on captain's seats.

Jeeps compass even trailhawk chassis suffer from a lot of flex.

I see that every automotive journalists comparing with Ford nd what bout safari or xuv700.... infact xuv700 has awd which is 100nm more powerful than compass/meridian nd expensive than all of the competitors

Not sure why manufactures get 7 seaters horribly wrong its ridiculous to see the amount of space Meridian offers in the 3rd row... such cars are better off as 5 seaters than pretend to be 7 seaters. Home grown Safari offers much better comfort at a far lesser cost....
