I so miss my pet hen, Eggnog. With her little shoes, stroller, and diaper, she went EVERYWHERE with me. Everybody knew she was a chicken, but had never petted one. She went into restaurants (where allowed) AND museums, festivals, etc. She would pop out little brown eggs, which is a thing a lot of little kids have never seen. She banged on a little piano, picked out playing cards, and colored balls as asked. She loved the attention; and treats were offered her by everyone. She acted like she knew she was the queen. So funny. Sadly, she was a a red comet, a production breed, so she only lived about six years. Next chicken will be a heritage breed. They don't lay many eggs but live SO much longer. She will also see the world from a stroller, or my shoulder! (she was a small hen) I love watching videos of Wrinkle!!! Every so often, in internet picture searches, I see a pic of my eggnog, quietly waiting for me to finish shopping, sleeping in the shopping cart, or in a stoller at festivals, or eating with us at a restaurant. I miss her.
