I took my duck to a Reptile Museum

Today we’re off the the Rattlesnake Museum

Snakes and reptiles are pretty scary scary

But learning information about scary things

Makes scary things a lot less scary

Besides, Wrinkle and I arent scared

Because we were together

And we earned our certificates of bravery

Together!

Such a misunderstood creature (the snake not the duck!). So many people mistake the rattle for aggression, but it's the opposite. The snake is essentially saying 'stay back, I'm afraid and I don't want to hurt you'. That's an amazingly sophisticated and almost compassionate fight or flight response. I'd be more afraid of Wrinkle in a dark alley!

The museum owner / cashier was so nice and friendly. And wrinkle made many friends with humans, snakes, turtles and lizards. What a succesful day :).

I don't know why, I think sneks are super cute animals but for some reason, they also scare me. Like when you filmed that snek from super close, I had a little back up movement and got chills down my back despite it being behind two screens (my computer screen and the glass one). Is it just an ancient survival instinct or something? I don't want to be scared of sneks, sneks are awesome. Deadly sometimes (red on yellow, I remember the little ditty to recognized the bad from the good ones (red on black)), but awesome.

EDIT: man, I feel bad for all these little guys, these cages look so small, it must be so boring living in there 24/7 :(
