How to Change Wheel Configuration on Tesla

This is how to change the wheel configuration on your Tesla. Although it does tell you that it will affect the range based on your selection it does not seem that the estimated range displayed on the screen changes. Also, you can only select default wheels available for your car, S, 3, X, or Y.

I think the estimated range is based on recent historical performance of actual driving.

I'm glad it doesn't change. It means Tesla base it completely on real world driving data so it'll calculate the range as you drive and battery condition.

Plus this stops people selling Tesla's with less range but increase it falsely with changing the wheels on the MCU

20” don’t change much compared to 18”, for some reason the worst range configuration is 19”

It's strange that it doesn't changes it on the display. Even though while configuring it on the Tesla website and just going from 18" to 19" wheels reduces the range by about 40km's.

The 19” aero rims and the 20” Uber rims have the same revolutions. Maybe that's why.
