i love how whenever the kids are naming cooking temperatures, it's always just like "hmmm, , , i think like uh, 9 degrees is good?"

What's crazy is a some of them sound almost viable enough that you think "yeah, that kid probably helps in the kitchen a little, even if they don't understand everything that's going on".

I feel like these kids think the sun is 100 degrees, so the single and double digit oven temps make a little sense for them

I love how Jayden is like “here’s how you make carrots. Don’t bother though they suck.”

It's genuinely adorable that all of the kids feel the need to clarify "and then you eat it!" at the end of their recipes 😭

I love that these kids are like, just on the edge of understanding the size of numbers. Like, hmm, peas are small, and when I was picking them out of the garden it was many. Probably at least 13.

This feels kinda like the way that videogame cooking recipes are structured, down to the counting of things like a "bread" as its own measurement

I love how Wayden's Peas are like:
"13 to 15 peas with some peppers and that's it!
(Also there's turkey but that's not the main dish)"

I would love to watch a cooking show where all of the recipes are written by kindergarteners, and the goal of the cooking show is to follow the recipe exactly while also trying to make something that isn't 100% inedible

5 plates of salt would create a nuclear bomb of a cookie lmao

“A quarter half of white powder, I think it is called flour”

I swear, officer, it’s just flour!

18 MINUTES OF A CONSTANT STREAM OF FLOUR, POSSIBLY SEVERAL TONS OF IT FOR: 10 carrots

"Milk in a measuring cup" is the funniest one in here. Like you're *almost* there man

I like Jayden's strategy though. Make the carrots as revolting as possible so we'll all agree to eat something else instead.

These kids are the original inventors of battery acid spaghetti

the best thing is that you can tell some of these kids have watched their parent cook and are trying to recreate it in some way, or just adding in their own bits to their recipe from what they've seen.
like the "5 plates of salt" or "half hot". those can easily be a few plates of sugar and around 250ish fahrenheit
edit to add that i'm also loving how this shows that kids just _arent good with time_ . "our oven is not that hot. they have to stay in there i think probably 8 minutes." thats what a long time is to a kindergartener. also that they probably just dont quite grasp anything over 10? im not sure, im not around kindergarteners XD

Brown stuff that looks like sugar.
Kid's whole world will change when I tell them about brown sugar.

I was actually kind of impressed with Allison’s cookie recipe because it made a decent amount of sense, and then she added pepper

I love how these kids have absolutely no concept of how ingredients interact, how hot the oven needs to get or how long it actually needs to cook/bake. It makes the recipes into silly puzzles where you try to figure out how the recipe is actually supposed to go 😂
